Top of chest slides forward to allow series of secret shelves to raise from top of cabinet.
The company Secret Compartment Furniture out of Ohio is always coming up with new and creative ways to add secret storage to their designs. We recently spotted this chest of drawers with a number of shelves hidden inside. The top slides forward, staying level and not disturbing anything sitting on the chest. However, this allows a stack of six shelves to raise from the back of the chest.
It looks like the top drawers aren’t as deep as the cabinet, allow space for the hidden shelves. However the bottom drawer has a cutout in the back that that fits around the lowered shelves. This would make the table more like a puzzle, keeping the bottom drawer locked, unless the hidden shelves are in the raised position.
This is fun new take a standard chest of drawers. Good job guys!
