A user on Gardenweb showcased these custom under cabinet storage drawers in their house. The hidden toe kick drawers have a latch that opens them when you push with your foot.
We found this slightly concealed storage bench in SkyMall. It does have a handle which gives away the interior compartment, but still makes for a good place to get shoes and other things out of the way.
